Jessica Christine
Jessica Christine''' (born September 19, 1984) is an American-born Belgian-based creative director, poet, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the fashion and ritual brand '''DeerWomen''', as well as the multidisciplinary production house '''UNTO'''.
Known for her ability to blend high fashion with esoteric narratives and visual story-telling, Christine has been described as an "more than a muse" in contemporary creative circles- positioned beyond the traditional muse archetype.
== Early Life and Education ==
Born in California, United States, Christine relocated to Doha, Qatar in her 20s and then moved to Belgium and became a central figure in Antwerp’s historic arts scene. She identifies as neurodivergent and has synesthesia, traits which inform her work in pattern systems, aesthetics, and symbolic recall.
=== Creative Direction and Brand Leadership ===
Christine founded 'Deerwomen' in 2014 as a luxury film and ritual object brand that merges archetypal psychology with sensory product design. Under her direction, the brand expanded into travel, botanicals, teas, beauty products, and a publishing arm. She also helms '''UNTO''', a film-forward production company rooted in poetic storytelling and high-art editorialism. Christine’s campaigns are known for fusing powerful imagery with commercial strategy.
Her work often brings together collaborators across fashion, art, and performance - from magazines like ELLE to writers, designers, and artists including Mika Jones, Francesca Lia Block, Marie Sauvage, Sonny Hall, Filip Arickx of A.F. Vandevorst, and Tom Eerebout. She has also worked with ateliers, markets, and studios such as Sehnsucht, De Duystere Market (Genk), and James Mountford Studios, as well as visual creators like Ashley Joncas, Elien Jansen, Charlie De Keersmaecker, and Mothmeister. What connects these collaborations is Christine’s ability to fuse personal mythology with visual culture in ways that resonate commercially while remaining true to artistic integrity.
=== Literary Work ===
Christine is the author of the forthcoming book '''The Witchery of Beauty''', exploring beauty as a metaphysical force and aesthetic weapon.
=== Film and Installations ===
Her film work focuses on blurring the lines between the wild and the sacred. She has been featured in events and collaborations across Los Angeles, Doha, Paris, London, Berlin, Genk, Brussels and Antwerp. Christine lives in Antwerp with her daughter. Her work frequently reflects themes of metamorphosis, motherhood, and sensual ritual. She remains private about her relationships but is known to be influential within both avant-garde fashion and literary circles.
